Three Florida Teams Make NFL Playoffs

Historic Season for Sunshine State

All Three Florida Teams in Postseason for First Time in Over 20 Years

For the first time in over two decades, all three National Football League (NFL) teams based in Florida have made the playoffs. The Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Jacksonville Jaguars all clinched playoff berths during the final weekend of the regular season, marking a historic moment for the Sunshine State.

The Dolphins, who have not won a playoff game since 2000, secured their spot in the playoffs with a dramatic 26-20 overtime victory over the New York Jets. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 234 yards and a touchdown in the win, while the Dolphins' defense forced three turnovers.

The Buccaneers, led by veteran quarterback Tom Brady, clinched their playoff berth with a 30-24 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Brady threw for 432 yards and three touchdowns, while Leonard Fournette rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown. The Buccaneers are seeking their second Super Bowl victory in three years.

The Jaguars, who have struggled in recent years, earned their first playoff berth since 2017 with a 20-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Trevor Lawrence threw for 217 yards and a touchdown, while Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 109 yards. The Jaguars will now face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card Round.

The success of all three Florida teams is a testament to the growing popularity of football in the state. Florida is now home to three of the NFL's most passionate and loyal fan bases.
